We had a full house for Christmas - not just with people, but with presents too! My Mom, Leonard and Rachael came down to share Christmas with us and Mike's Mom was here as well, so my little house held eight people and a bunch of gifts.
Since Mike doesn't like to open presents on Christmas eve, our Christmas eve was pretty low key. The girls enjoyed reading the Night Before Christmas with Daddy, finishing up their advent calendar and putting Christmas cookies & milk out for Santa (and of course some carrots for the reindeer). Mike did agree to let them open one present -- new Christmas PJs and slippers. The girls got to wear their new jammies to bed and all morning on Christmas to open gifts.
The girls received so many toys I don't even know where to start! It was a big gaming Christmas. Katelyn and Alyssa got Uno Moo (a big hit!), Guess Who (it had to be played on Christmas), Memory, Connect Four, Hungry Hippo (for some reason I can't explain, both my girls decided the marbles needed to go in their mouths, so that one is going to be put away for awhile!), Apples to Apples - which requires more reading then Katelyn is up for, but should be a great game in another few months, Jr. Boggle, and a few others that I can't remember off the top of my head. We also got several puzzles, which were fun to put together.

They also received some cute new outfits, books, calendars, barbies, baby dolls, movies, coloring books, and a bunch of stuff that I need to find places for -- we need a bigger house!

Mike and I also got some great gifts. I got a speaker system/player for my Zune so I can just plug it in and listen to music in the Kitchen (or the bedroom - I got two!). I got a new CD, some cookie sheets, a new waffle maker, a great sweater, some mini loaf pans, and some nice new wooden hangers. Mike ended up with a bunch of reloading stuff, a mag reloader, a gift card to Cabellas which is burning a hole in his pocket, and an Alaska hat and a few Blu Ray movies (Transformers I and II).
Of course we ended up eating too much - we had a wonderful Christmas breakfast. Mike and I made Mom & Dad Lich's Breakfast Pizza Recipe and Cinnamon Roles and Fruit. Then we had a HUGE Christmas dinner with ham & pot roast and a bunch of salads shared with Jen, Matt, Triston and Aspen. Then we got to partake in another holiday feast over at our friend's parent's house -- prime rib and turkey (with about 8 different kinds of desserts) and finally one more Christmas dinner with Grandpa H & Kris. All the meals were wonderful (but I ate too much and now my pants are a little snug. I'm going to have to start the workout thing up at the beginning of the year with all the other crazies who make it their new years resolution!)
Mike's in a really good mood tonight -- for those that don't know, the Idaho Vandals won the Humanitarian Bowl (by one point when they decided to try for two with a few seconds left in the game). My husband, being the dedicated fan that he is, went to the game with some friends. I did not go with him - outdoors with mid-30 degree weather is not my idea of fun. I got to watch the last bit of the game on TV from the warmth and comfort of my living room -- I'm ok with that!
Well thats a quick recap of the Hickok Christmas. I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and I hope you all have a very happy new year!

Did the gifts get there in time?
Have a happy new year!
Your gifts arrived the day after Christmas - which was fine. They had plenty to open on Christmas day and they were able to open more gifts the next day! Thanks for the gifts. They love the new babies and the game.
