It was nice and cool up there for the most part. The girls stayed up late and got to light some fireworks. We had sparklers and some other kind of sparkler type firework -- the guy at the fireworks stand said they were cool so I bought them. And Grandpa's across the street neighbor had his grandsons up so they let off a bunch of fireworks. The girls enjoyed watching those but they did not like the firecrackers of the M80s or whatever the really loud ones are called.

Mike decided we should try putting Alyssa on the floor with a blow up mattress and sleeping bag for the trip so we didn't take her pack-n-play. It was a nice idea in theory. Alyssa really liked the winnie the pooh sleeping bag and she knew it was her bed and by the time we put her in it at night she was out BUT that girl rolls around in her sleep! She probably spent 30 minutes to an hour in her bed during the night, the rest of the time she was all over the floor of the living room, including rolling into her sister. She woke up in the middle of the night both nights we were up there -- confused about where she was and unable to find her bed. So, I nixed the no pack-n-play idea for our next trip to McCall this coming weekend. I value my sleep too much. By the time we got back to Boise from Sumpter I was exhausted. So this weekend we will take the pack-n-play and hopefully get some decent sleep.
