Merry Christmas!

I guess I could have captioned this post "Happy Holidays" - you know, Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, Happy Valentines Day, Happy President's Day, Happy Easter, etc....I've obviously missed a few holidays between my last post (Halloween) and this one (the day after Easter).  So this Post will be a quick recap:

Over Thanksgiving we stayed home.  Mike participated in a turkey shoot and won a prize ham (which coincidentally we just ate for Easter dinner).  We took this picture the next day (the shoot was in the evening, Mike didn't get home until close to midnight and it was pretty dang cold outside).

We traveled to North Idaho for Christmas and a nasty stomach bug passed through the whole family.  It started with Katelyn but by the time we were half way through the holiday, she was out playing in the snow while Mike and Alyssa were down for the count.  I ended up succumbing the day after Christmas and then we traveled home the following day.  It was great seeing the family, the girls loved playing with Chris and we had a wonderful Christmas, but not an experience I want to repeat anytime soon.

As for Presidents Day we got a new car (2013 Nissan Pathfinder) and today I got my first door ding (I'm so not happy).

Alyssa played her first season of YBall and was the only girl on her team to actually score a basket for the season (those were some long, low scoring games):

And finally, we had a good Easter.  The weather was beautiful and the girls enjoyed themselves (the Easter Bunny left eggs all over the house and left behind Rise of the Guardians -- appropriate since one of the stars is the Easter Bunny).

Chris is my best friend's son. I unofficially adopted her family in high school and they reciprocated :) So the girls think of Chris as their cousin. But Brenda lives in Seattle, so we don't get to visit too often. Her folks were down visiting the girls just the other weekend though and that cute purple easter dress Alyssa is wearing came from them.
