Katelyn's Birthday

Its official, I have a four year old. I really hope four is better then three! We let Katelyn pick where she wanted to go to eat for her birthday, so we spent a happy hour at McDonalds (I should have guessed that one). She wanted to invite her friend Holden and his parents graciously agreed to go out during the week and let their son get hyped up on ice cream -- hopefully they won't hate us in the morning and the boys went to bed quickly once they got home.
We got Katelyn a bike for her birthday- as shown in the picture. Its purple and princesses -- every four year old girl's dream! She has already ridden it and crashed it -- we will see if she will want to get back on it and try again tomorrow! She was a real trooper when she fell. She got back up and rode it again. But when we put her in the bathtub tonight her owie hurt and she didn't want to ride her bike again. We shall see.
Katelyn also got a Dora puzzle, some clothes, and princess stickers. She got a leapfrog word game for the refrigerator from Grandma Hickok and alot of other good loot. She has also been having fun watching the mail for her cards and presents. She loves to get a card with glitter and or the princesses and if you can combine the two the kid is in heaven! She keeps asking if she can take the cards into her room. I'm not sure where she is stock piling them, but I think she has about half a dozen in there now! Her Grandma and Grandpa Lich sent her the dress she is wearing in that picture as well as another one I am sure she will insist on wearing tomorrow. They also sent a sprinkler attachment for the hose. I think Alyssa wants to thank them for that.

Anyway, lots of fun at the Hickok house. And it doesn't stop here. Katelyn gets to take in treats to her school tomorrow so they will be celebrating her birthday then and on Friday Grandpa Hickok is taking Katelyn out (to Chucky Cheese -- I will make sure to take some aspirin before we go) and then on Saturday we are having her family BBQ, so Mike's brother and Uncle and Mom will be here as well as my cousin and her kids. It should be fun, but I'm sure it will be a little bit of work. Oh well -- what good is a birthday if you can't make it last all week! :)
