Fair Fun

The Western Idaho Fair is in town and I took Katelyn (and Grandma) on Saturday. We met up with her friend Holden (the little boy in all these pictures). So fun with friends, and Yummy, yummy fair food-need I say more?
Katelyn got to go on a pony ride and feed the animals at the petting zoo area. (My daughter could take an hour feeding the animals a few kernals at a time) We eventually got through the animal feed and moved on to the rides.
This is the first year Katelyn was able to ride most the kid rides on her own. Alot of them required 42 inches and she made the cut. Unfortunately, her friend Holden isn't quite there yet, so his Dad had to ride on some of the rides with him. Katelyn went on all the rides without me. She even went on the kids rollercoaster. I wasn't sure how that would go, but she was having a great time. Katelyn had a great time all the way around and I think next year we might have to get her a wrist band for unlimited rides.
Besides the fair, we took Katelyn bowling for the first time with a bunch of people from Mike's work. I have to say thank god for bumpers! Katelyn got a better score then Dad on the first game, but she kind of petered out on the second game. We had to coax her into finishing starting at about frame 4 or 5.
We also took the kids to my bosses house last week for a pool party. Katelyn told my boss that she was going to come over everyday and she was somewhat serious about that. She asked if she could go back to my bosses house the next day. She also kept asking about his daughter. She wasn't even there very long, but Katelyn is a big fan!
Unfortunately, Alyssa got sick last week with a stomach bug. She was the third one in her class to succumb to the bug and she was out of school Friday. I got vomited on - kind of par for the course. But she is much better now. She is still kind of clingy, but better.
Not much else to report.
