Not really much to report. Auntie Brenda (my best friend) came to visit two weekends ago and the girls had a great time with her (as did their Mom). We went to see a chick flick – Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 – after the girls went to bed the first night. On Saturday we went to the zoo and out to eat and on Sunday – the most exciting part of her trip – I took her grocery shopping! I think she is anxious to come back again and visit - she had sooo much fun! :)

Seriously though, I love her visits, but they always remind me how far apart we are and how little we get to see each other. I tried to convince her to move to Boise, but she is firmly rooted in Seattle and I have to say the same thing about Mike and I in Boise. So, we just have to settle for visits a few times a year.

We didn’t do much over our three day weekend. On Saturday Katelyn went to a birthday party for three of her friends from her new school, which gave me a chance to get to know some of the parents. They all seemed very nice. We had Grandma come over on Sunday to watch the girls and we took the Harley out for a ride (about 160 miles). Its called the Lowman Loop and it takes you through some beautiful areas. A lot of twisty turns but that is pretty fun on a bike – not so much in a car! And Monday we shopped -- practically emptying out the bank account at a shoe store getting a pair of shoes for each person in the house -- and hung around the house.

Katelyn starts soccer this Saturday. She was supposed to start gymnastics this month too, but we decided that one activity at a time is sufficient. So, she is going to do soccer this month and then gymnastics will start again next month.

I’m starting a belly dancing class this week. One of my friends suggested it as a way to get together and get a little exercise. She assured me that there are no mirrors and there are women of all different body types in the class, so I figured it couldn’t be too bad. Truth be told, I’m actually looking forward to it. I don’t really see my friends all that often anymore without kids attached. I can’t even talk on the phone without interruptions and distractions, so this will be good. Just the girls.
