STARS COURSE

This is the Kawasaki motorcycle I road all weekend in the STARS course. Its a basic riders course. It was pretty intense -- took up my entire weekend. Friday from 6pm to 8:30pm, Saturday from noon to seven, and Sunday from 10am to 7pm. There was a written exam (which wasn't too difficult) and then a riding skills test -- which I barely passed! I hit a cone and ran over another cone and put my foot down while trying to weave in and out of a course going a slow speed. Luckily there were other parts to the test that I could do without too much difficulty. The important thing is that I did pass! So that means I can go take the DMV written test and get my motorcycle endorsement on my license. I'm still not sure I want to ride, but since I took the class I might as well get the endorsement. I'll have to take the Sportster out with Mike and see if I can handle it. What I road this last weekend was a "baby" bike, the sportster is more like the teenager hyped up on hormones! It might be a little too powerful for me, we shall see.
