Easter and Birthday

Well, Alyssa is now officially four! She enjoyed multiple celebrations, starting with her big party at Gem State gymnastics, then a family party the next day with Grandma H and my cousin and her family and then another present opening experience with Grandpa H and Kris the following day, then presents arrived in the mail from Grandma and Grandpa Lich and Auntie Brenda mid week. Finally on her birthday she got to celebrate at school (with a few dozen pink, green and yellow cupcakes handmade by me) and again at home and then still another gift after the big day from Aunt Ren (but just barely after).

Alyssa's big gift from us was a tag along bike. We replaced her Kangaroo seat. While the co-pilot is a little big for her still, she is super excited to go try it out. Once we get the handle bar pad for it and the weather improves, I'm sure we will hit the open road. (I'll apologize right now, I did something funky with the pictures, so I'm not sure they will align with the text)
Easter weekend was alot of fun at our house as well. We went to an Easter egg hunt at Alyssa's school - Mike taught Alyssa how to crack her easter eggs:

They had face painting and crafts (and we crashed a nearby baptist church Easter celebration so the girls could have fun on their inflatable slide). Here is our little Easter bunny after eating her cake decorating craft:

As for Easter Sunday, the bunny visited and left ALOT of easter eggs all over my house - I told Katelyn she and her sister had to clean them up! (and she didn't even complain when I let them clean up!)
Here they are getting ready for the chore:

And they were quite proud of their accomplishments (about two minutes later) in helping rid the house of all those pesky, candy filled eggs!

And finally, finally, finally they got to wear their Easter dresses from Mom and Dad (it was still too cold to wear them outside, but at least they got to wear them in the house). I'm afraid I tortured the girls a little bit (inadvertently of course) by purchasing these cute little dresses in February and hanging them in their closets. I think I heard, "Mom, can I wear my Easter dress?" at least weekly but probably closer to three to four times a week. My response: "Is it Easter?" Then of course came the sad, mopey little girl face (so maybe it was more torture for me). But in my defense, you have to buy these things when Costco has them in stock, because you never know if they will stay around. So here are the girls in their Easter dresses:
