And Grandpa Z got some quality time in with the Girls too. Alyssa really is Grandpa's girl, she was so excited that he was coming down to see her (not that you can tell in this picture)!
The girls really enjoyed their time with their grandparents and were sad to see them leave. BUT I'm guessing the Grandparents were ready for the peace and quite of their own homes - between the 6:00am wake up calls from Alyssa and the constant noise level of my house and the never ending stream of Barbie movies (thats the girls latest craze and since I can find them in the $5 dollar bin at Walmart, I've indulged it, but getting such a good deal doesn't make watching Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus any more entertaining on the 4th replay!)
I took the Grandmas to see Bye Bye Birdie on Wednesday night. Apparently Boise has something called Boise Music Week and every year they put on a musical production at the Morrison Center and give away the tickets to the members of the community for free. I've been living here for 10 years and didn't know a thing about it. Lucky for me, one of the ladies at work was involved in this years production and mentioned it to me. I will try to be on the look out for next years production since both my girls love singing and dancing (hence the love of the Barbie Movies like Swan Lake) and I love the price. It was a good musical and the grandmas really enjoyed themselves. They were both laughing out loud throughout the play.
We also had a luau on Friday night for Alyssa's school fundraiser. My mom brought all her Hawaii stuff, including a mu-mu for me which I wore but you won't find any pictures of it on the blog because I control the content!
We also kept them busy (and frozen) with some windy soccer games early Saturday morning and again Saturday afternoon. But they missed the excitement of Katelyn pulling out her 4th tooth this morning before school (that makes five missing all together, but the dentist pulled the first one so she doesn't get credit for that). All told, we had a great visit but a long week - we are all exhausted!
