Photo Shoot

So we went out with my cousin today to Katherine Albertson's Park to get some pictures. Jen is very talented with her camera and we got a couple cute shots too. I don't know how her shots will turn out, but I can't wait to see them. She has decided to turn her talent into a profession and is putting together her portfolio this summer, so I of course offered my girls as subjects. What Mom doesn't want pictures of her kids? Anyway, neither of my girls really cooperated. Katelyn was in her cheesy camera smile/ham it up mode or her I'm not going to listen to a word you say mode and Alyssa was just tired and cranky and did not want to stand on grass or do anything for that matter. I guess we gave her a real life photo shoot experience -- good luck dealing with an almost four year old and a 13 month old who is most likely teething!

I think tomorrow is going to be a Grandma day. In other words, I think we are going to have Grandma come over and babysit while Mike and I go to lunch, maybe a movie and grocery shopping. I know the grocery shopping doesn't really fit in the whole afternoon off kind of theme, but shopping without kids is like a break! I know, I'm going to get Mom of the year with that attitude, but Katelyn's whining is starting to really get to me. A little time away wouldn't be a bad idea. Plus, there are several movies at the theatre I would like to see -- I'm guessing if Mike has the choice, we will see Indiana Jones (but thats ok, since it is one of the ones I want to watch anyway). Thats all we have done today so I guess I'll stop typing now and go to bed -- night, night.
